Elise holds a Doctorate/PhD in Political Science and has worked on numerous AIDS research projects in Africa; notably in Uganda. As part of a recent project for Coalition Plus (Paris, France) and the French National Agency for AIDS Research, she was responsible for widespread international collection and dissemination of best practices on HIV/AIDS community-based research She has developed practical tools aimed at grassroots activists from widely different professional, cultural and geographical contexts. She currently works with INSERM/IRD on the Global Fund and governance best practices. She speaks fluent French and English.
